Re: An original from Becca and Blindboy

 Great tune, BB. Tell Becka not to be so hard on herself, she is great. I wish we could all be there on the 4th, I bet that is going to be a blast (pun intended). Be sure to have someone record a bit of video, we would all like seeing and hearing you guys.

Re: Blown Away by Joanne Shaw Taylor ......

ZOWEE... Strummer. It's been a blues week all around the world! Joanne Shaw Taylor is one of my favorites. I am watching her schedule closely to see when she comes within range. That's a great description of her performance, almost makes me feel like I was there. It also makes me want to see her all...

BB, BG, ZZ and LS... Oh My!

:music2: It's been a busy Bluesey week for Aggifan and I. We were in Louisiana this past weekend visiting relatives and made it over to Bossier City to watch ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd in concert. It was held in the Centratel Center, a very large venue, so we were not that close (thank goodness for b...

Re: RIP Seve

Very sad, indeed. Seve was well respected the world over in golf. He always had a gentle demeanor, I have never seen anything on TV where he lost his cool. A great loss to the world and especially to the world of golf.

Why It's Called The Blues

Here is a question that I was wondering…. Why exactly do we call the type of music that we all love “Blues”? I did a bit of internet searching and found the following information describing why the name “Blues” is applied to this particular type of music. I have no idea whether a word of this is tru...

Re: Stormy Monday Collaboration

Thanks for the very kind comments, guys. This was a fun project and took us all out on a limb where we have never been before. We each learned something new, which is what this forum is all about, right? Any time any of you are in central NM come and sit in with the TWBB. Thanks for the invite, Blin...

Stormy Monday Collaboration

 Hi Guys.... it's time for a second offering from the collaborative efforts of Golfxzq, Strummer07 and MoJoJim. If you have been around for a little while you may recall our first posting back in November of last year of Bubble Gum Blues (http://12bar.de/community/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=...

Getting Together....

:D Hi Guys... just wanted to share with everyone a great time that I recently had. Each year my wife and I try to attend a PGA golf tournament or two. When I was looking over the various tournaments which were within driving distance I noticed that the Texas Valero Open was in San Antonio, TX. Hay.....

Re: New Bass

That's a great looking bass, VB. Aren't all guitars beautiful? There's something about them that makes them attractive even before hearing them... and then that is a whole new attraction.

Great sound too, I'm sure you will enjoy her.

Re: This guy is outta hand!!!!

Blonde is good but for me he is just another good player, nothing special. Pine Cone, on the other hand, is very original. I don't think there are too many people around who could duplicate his music. I guess it's a good thing that I'm not a judge because I would have picked Pine Cone.

Re: New to forum, instructional question

:welcome: Digismash... it sounds like you have a pretty good leg up on playing since you already play base. I agree with Strummer, one on one is the best way to go. I started with an instructor about three months ago and it has helped me tremendously (although I need a tremendous amount of help stil...
