Steel Mill Child

Hi! Long time - no see... Working on my song "Steel Mill Child". Created a backing track for vocals. I have some throat problems so I don't know when I'm going to be able to sing again...for now the piano represent the melody. Maybe someone would like to record the vocals? Anyway, I would ...

Re: Tell Me What It's All About

vancouverois: Thanks! I think the GT-100 sounds have more warmth to them than teh Line6 HD-models, but it's probably a matter of my taste and you could shurely tweak the Line6 to good sounds as well. I think I'll stick to the Boss and learn it inside out... tytlblues: Thanks! Well, as you shurely no...

Re: Tell Me What It's All About

VikingBlues: Thanks! I'm rearranging some old tunes I have written the last 9 years to instrumental composistions, sometimes there's only most of the chord progression left with a completely new melody to it, this is one of them... I have planned to make demos out of about twenty tunes and then choo...

Re: No Clue Blues

Thanks mates! I had to look up Tom Lehrer, really a funny guy and a genius on lyrics...listened to several of his songs on You Tube... they say laughing extends your life, I guess I'll be living for lots of years after this night! I must dig deeper in my trash can, maybe there is more...aaahh, yes.....

No Clue Blues

Hi there! Going through some old stuff from 2005 and found a blues I recorded back then called "No Clue Blues" ...no electric, drums or even bass, just me and one of my guitars maybe I'll make a better arrangement, but it's kind of good as it is...or...??? :shy: http://12bar.de/community/d...

Re: Take This Hammer

Thanks! The song can, according to Wikipedia, be traced down almost a hundred years... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Take_This_Hammer and has been recorded by many groups but I don't remember what recording catched my ears, could have been The Spencer Davis Group or maybe Johnny Cash... As for the in...

Take This Hammer

Still walking that memory lane...making some sketches, maybe I'll make an album, when I get enough time... But for now I just play to get inspiration and ideas...

Maybe the second or third song I learned on guitar.

I doesn't sound poor - in no way! You also get a really great groove in this song! Agree...it's very much in the fingers you know, imagine EC och BB King playing on your guitar, I bet if that happened and you closed your eyes you wouldn't think about what price the guitar has... http://www.youtube....

Re: 12 Bars For MR

Really nice playing... I agree with tytlblues: "there is nothing in this solo you do not know, or won't know very quickly. It is the minor blues scale, a few notes form the major scale, and the 3 basic blues chords." and I take that statement to myself too. I know the chords and pretty wel...
