Didn't get to go see Jimmie. We were both sick as the proverbial dog.

Re: Nicotine deprivation jazz from the open mic...

Sounds like you guys did just fine without me Monday night. From listening to all your Soundclick posts, it sounds like I have a lot of catching up to do. :music2:

Dang, Bb! Ever thought about getting one of those large bubbles to live in? :mercy:

So, how did this affect Monday nights playing?

Re: New ride...

Nice bikes, all. OES, that '51 Hydra-Glide is sweet. I don't have any old bike pics that I can post here, but I enjoyed viewing those that were posted. I started riding scooters(Cushman) when I was 9 or 10 years old. I rode until my early 20's and owned a lot of nice bikes. I was always partial to t...

Rename that dog "Cujo"! He's a cool dog, actually, with very powerful jaws. Keeping him contained is going to be a challenge.

Sorry, to hear about the finger, Bb.

Re: New Affordable Gibsons

I'd rather go for an Epi in this price range. I agree. Gibson and Fender both build a lot of different models. Gibson's lower priced models tend to be very cheaply appointed and have very little in common with their more expensive models. While Fender's lower priced models are usually better appoin...

Too bad the Delorean isn't up and running. Those pesky flux capacitors are getting hard to find. Trust me, oneeyedslide, you don't want videos. While most of the band is passable handsome, I'd scare your grand-kids' grand-kids. Don't we all look like this? :bb: Well, that would be an i...

Trust me, oneeyedslide, you don't want videos. While most of the band is passable handsome, I'd scare your grand-kids' grand-kids. :yikes: We got a bit of rain here this afternoon. Of course, with the rain came cooler temperatures and the cooler temps bring in the smoke. Still, I'll take my rain wit...

I don't know if my place is all that much safer, Bb, but you are welcome to stash yourselves and your gear here, if you have to get out of Dodge. I could help haul some your gear to safer places, also.

There's a lot of that :phew: stuff going on around here.

We couldn't see much of any kind of smoke plume from the house early this morning, but now the plume has started to climb above Redondo peak considerably.

Glad you didn't have to go anywhere, Bb.
According to the NM Fire Info web page the fire has consumed 43,597 acres overnight.

Re: Forest fire danger in the Southwest...UPDATE!

A new fire broke out this afternoon within 2-3 miles of Bb's place. Residents, including Bb, have been evacuated.
It appears the fire is headed away from Bb's neighborhood, at this time. I'll post more as I hear more.

Re: Forest fire danger in the Southwest...

I'm late to the party, as usual. I was checking out the fire from Hwy 550 yesterday as I drove to Albuquerque. It looks big from 50 miles away. According to the New Mexico fire info page, the fire is only 10 percent contained and has burned 5800 acres, so far. The Pacheco fire: http://nmfireinfo.wor...

Hey Bindboy! Looks like your bandmate Deaconblues may have ended up with your old Alamo! Sweet old amps! The TV front Supro must be wild!
Different era Alamo from Bb's. From the build/design of the reverb unit, Bb's was a sixties era Alamo.
