Re: Slow C blues Collaboration anyone?

Sorry I'm late- bit of a bad day yesterday. But my little brother said he would let me use his computer to record with, so I think I'm good to go! I'll probably do it in the next day or two. nxsneil, are those time ranges you posted in bars? So two run-throughs for everybody? (And thanks for the upd...

Re: Broken Nail in Bm

Sorry about your nail, VikingBlues... I've never had anything quite that bad happen to me, but I remember getting just a tiny little cut on my left (fretting hand) index finger about 2 1/2 years ago, and I couldn't play the way I normally did at all- in hindsight, I'm glad it happened, because when ...

Re: Slow C blues Collaboration anyone?

Sounds like fun! You can put me down as a maybe for the last slot- only because I'm not sure if I'm able to record (I've missed waaay too many collabs because of this!). My older brother has some equipment that I may be able to hook up to my computer. I guess even if it doesn't work, though, both of...

Bit of help with a Scottish song

I typed 'linnet' into google the other day to find out what it was (a small European bird, it turns out!), and the first thing that came up was a selection of songs from Colleen Raney's CD of the same name- I'd never heard of her, but now I'm very thankful for my ornithological ignorance! Anyway, sh...

Re: Next Time You See Her

All right, I'll try and keep the lyrics to a minimum (feel free to pare them down if I've put in too many). The intro chords I think are G D G, and then it goes to C for a measure, then back to G and G D G again (that's two measures) and then back to C- I think you repeat the G D G C G G D G sequenc...

Re: Next Time You See Her

I just took a listen, and I think I've got it figured out- but (Gerd?) how much am I allowed to post without anyone having to worry about copyright or anything? I think I can say that it's mainly a G to C sequence, with a few Ds in there. If I can post more to clear it up, I will!

Re: Welcome

Lookin' good! I think I'll warm up to it just fine. I think I was about due for an avatar change, too (putting it on the other side works very well for this particular one!) "You see, in this world, there are two kinds of people, my friend; those who play blues, and those who don't..." :ea...
