Talking of Layla ... I first heard this (instrumental) version on a Spanish radio station a couple of years back but still have no idea who actually did it. Great playing ... any ideas guys?

Re: Rainy Night, Updated with Vocal, LOL/ TYTL collab
Great sound. Got it looping over and over here. As I think I said before if this came over the radio I'd be rushing out to get the CD with it on. Amazing how what you each do is so complementary when done together. Love it!!!

Great blues playing on this one. Love the timing and tonal variations you put into each 12 bar set. A complete job with not a single dull moment. Lovely!

Re: Litle harder blues
Well, you don't sound at all newbie to me! You've clearly got the hang of doing the bends, vibrato and controlling sustain, all in the right places, and each of your posts indicate yet another step forward over the previous one. Going back nearly fifty years I used to regularly go to see a band that...

Tricky one this, to hang some notes on, I wouldn't know where to start! Well done.

Re: See if this works...
Great sound, particularly impressed by the vocals ... you should do more of them! Is guitar it all strat ... asked because there's a tonal change at around 5 minutes in? Also same question as VB regarding downloading. Like live band sounds like this, TWBB works together real well.

Between the two of you this has all the atmosphere of a live gig ... really felt I was there in the crowd. Star performances. I'd be down the shop to buy a CD of this if available. Top rate effort.

Re: Lolblues Vocals, Tytl Guitar, new version
Great potential this. Your own analysis of 'leakage' makes a valid point and led me to be curious as to the tracking order ... was it BT then Lol then you ... or BT then you then Lol (?) ... which sometimes sounds as if the case here. With call/response sorted out a bit, and maybe a bit more volume ...

Re: Single Coil Pickups
I've never taken too much interest in pickups on my guitars ... that is until very recently when I upgraded the three single coils on my late 70s Maya strat copy with a set of ceramics I got from Warman Guitars in the UK. The cost of doing so was very low (less than 12 quid) but the difference is qu...

Re: SameOld Blues : Roll your own BT
Sounds fine to me, rather more spicy than just a plate of noodles!!! I didn't notice any 'near misses' on bends, despite you mentioning them, and I kinda doubt anyone else would've noticed. If its a good production (which it is) most people would just get carried along by the music! I have just one ...

Great stuff Michael ... a remarkable change in what you're now playing compared to just a few weeks ago. Nice fast runs here and there, timing variations pretty much spot on. I think you've found the blues, congratulations!!

Re: Boss Sustain
I tend to use my (now discontinued) RP50 for most things these days, and then only 5 user presets I've cobbled together over the past 5 years or so: 1. Mostly based on Digitech factory preset 'smooth drive' but with the gain cranked to max. 2. An octave dropping bass sim. 3. A sort-of acoustic-sound...

Hey, that's really good, like the tone, bends, and use of a bit of repetition near the end. You nailed the ending itself just right too. Good one. This is certainly a style worth developing. Well done!

Re: Do you recognise this ?
Performance anxiety comes in many forms and happens to everyone regardless of how outwardly confident and prepared they may appear to be. Early in my computer career I was asked to do a stand up talk to a bunch of the company's managers. I spent many evenings fretting over it but when the day came I...
