Yes I agree a really good combined effort. You have done exactly what I am looking for which is someone to sing on songs I have written so as to spare the world from my warblings.
Very professionally done indeed.

Re: Have these Onions Shuffled Away too far?
I love overdrive, I know some of the folks here are not a fan, but as a lover of rock as well as blues I enjoy a nice crunch. I don't like terribly overdriven sounds verging on Metal. But think Gary Moore, he got some of the sweetest tones with quite a heavy overdrive when playing blues. I think tho...

Re: hows this for a slight beginner?
I think what goes in your credit is that you don't try to overplay. I know a year ago I tried too hard and tended to cram notes in, it is only since listening to the folks here and more importantly to me, hours of listening to Peter Green, that I learned that the blues needs lots of room to breathe ...

Re: The Best Thing I Ever Did To My Guitar
Seriously, I'm a bit intimidated by my Strat. I need to get over that and become a friend to my guitar. :handshake: But I'm carefully reading what everyone else is posting because some day I'll get up more nerve - and then.... Look out Strat, here I come - and I've got a screwdriver in one hand and...

Re: Trying to learn Hideaway
I like to look at a tab first, preferably a guitar pro tab, then all you have to do is play along with the song while the notes move along the screen with all the relevant bend or vibrato info. I find guitar pro a much easier way to learn by tab as it is not just numbers written down, you can hear w...

Re: Cold Dessert - Phrygian Improv
I think the next time I upgrade any electronics I will do it myself but the slow and painful way. Remove each pot one by one, wire by wire, replacing the old with the new every time I disconnect a wire. This for me removes any worries about following a wiring diagram as you only have to keep track o...

Re: Cold Dessert - Phrygian Improv
Quite unusual choice of backing track, which is probably a good thing in terms of expand playing. Cold Pudding Blues, I like it, although with the Arabian nights theme of the track I presume you meant Cold Desert. :yikes: :away: Great playing all the same, very moody and mysterious. I think the vide...

Sounds good Gerd, I look forward to a longer demo.
You know in this country the scaffolding you are using for that would be illegal. Quite the little project you have undertaken, hope the nice weather holds out for you.

Golf that was quite amusing. I guess when it comes to guitars most of us here are Mormons, who want's one when you can have multiple lovers! For example I have 3 guitars that I will never ever sell already.

Re: Bending & Vibrato
Most of the "significant bends", (that it full step bends or ones that aren't being used to accentuate a note with a single finger) I do with the ring finger with the other two fingers for stability yes. I had another go earlier at this after posting and found that it is more a case that I...

Bending & Vibrato
As we are all on our ever expanding guitar quest I was hoping I could get some advice off you fine folks. When it comes to string bending I think I am pretty proficient, I can hit the right amount of bend nearly all of the time with any finger and even with 10 gauge strings I can perform 2 step bend...

I suggest you send a strongly worded letter to Simon Cowell, he'll just add it to the pile. While ever there are mind numbing singers like Lady BaaBaa or Cheryl "Silicon Implants on a broom stick" Cole, then our wonderful genre of music will be shoved to the back out of the way with "...

Hi MikeL, welcome to our group, looks like you know your way around already. Good to have you here, great name btw! I'm Strat-less at the moment and will be for some considerable time, but I have other to keep me company. Your's is fine looking though, be nice to hear some tones out of her. As for t...

Perkins outlived most of his peers even though he smoked from the age of 9, battled alcoholism into his 80s and ate at McDonald’s Corp.’s fast-food restaurants daily.

Of course there is a scenario where all of the boxes are ticked and there are no drawbacks or downsides to the guitar in question.......
Except it's not a Lefty.... ...That's better. (If only it were that simple in real life)

That really is a great piece, very well thought out and conveys the sentiments perfectly. Fortunately for me I have yet to experience the pain of losing a parent so I cannot fully comprehend the pain that it will cause. But even though I haven't I can still relate to it because of the way you have a...

Re: I've Got A Mind Collab?
Hi Kalle, That would be great if you would do the bass, like I said before I think simplicity is the way to go with this song. As I don't have any mastering skills I was planning that we just record our parts on top of the original then pass it on to the next person to record their part. That is unl...

Re: I've Got A Mind Collab?
Great, that's both solo's filled then...I suppose I'll be singing it all then?
I was hoping to fit at least another solo space in, even 2 but unless I up the tempo I think it's going to be too long of a song, what do you think?
