Re: The Best Thing I Ever Did To My Guitar
Besides setting the intonation, playing it. DeaconBlues... this a very good point. Setting the intonation is a simple thing that anyone can do with a screwdriver and an electronic tuner. If you think about it we play most of our notes "up the neck", not in the open position. Wouldn't we w...

You do a little research to see about her background and if she comes from a good family. If you are still interested you ask ...

Re: RIP Pinetop Perkins
Not that it really matters at all but I am proud to say that Pinetop Perkins was born in my home town of Belzoni, Mississippi.... I just wish some of that blues magic could have rubbed off on me. There is a new museum there commemorating his life but it had not opened when I was visiting my Mom this...

Ratfinkdan... that is some mighty fine playin' and I love the guitars... I'm partial to LP's as well. I really, really, like the Jazzy Blues tune with your LP Special. Glad to have such a talented player join the forum (another one... this is giving me a complex).

The Best Thing I Ever Did To My Guitar
 Hi Guys... It seems that we guitar lovers are always fiddling with our guitars... adding something, adjusting something, changing out something... we are only satisfied until we learn about something new and then we start all over again. A lot of folks talk about using different strings, chan...

"Finger style" !!! It seem that the finger (less the nail) is healing up pretty quickly. Great sounding tune.

Hi Doc, welcome to 12Bar. Lynard77Skynyrd is right, there are a lot of very talented Blues players on this forum. But... Don't let him fool you, he is very good himself. There are also a lot of us beginner too. From your description it sounds like you could be right up there with the more advanced p...

Re: What's in the Box?
D28.... Here's the site where I downloaded the BB King box tab. I'm afraid it doesn't exactly specify which song these are from, just that they are from BB's favorite boxes. I hope this helps a bit... there is tons of great information out there on the web but the BEST stuff is right here on the 12B...

Re: What's in the Box?
Hi D28,
Cool licks, huh? Love that BB sound. I took this tear sheet from a web site. I think it was Jamplay. Something either provided by Kallie or at least inspired by him back the first part of January. I'll look it up tonight when I get home and give you a good link.
