I'm so glad the 'Beano' album is still causing so much excitement! I got mine in the (19)60's after seeing JM for the first time. I share your excitement even 40 years later.
Enjoy your Christmas.

Re: Merry Christmas
A very Merry Christmas to all 12 barers from an arctic West Midlands and a Happy New Year (with lots of Blues).
Many thanks to Gerd for a superb site for young and old(sob!) fans of the Blues.

Re: Fender G-dec 3 thirty
Not sure what you mean. It would only record patches of up to 28 seconds, whereas on loopers you can record and overdub complete songs and voice. Like Weelie, I found the controls fiddly too. I love Fenders, but the G-DEC 30, like its smaller brother is just a toy unlike the 5watt Champ which I use ...

Re: Fender G-dec 3 thirty
I had one for a year, but used it less and less. It's a bit of expensive fun, great if you are a beginner, but a loop station is a much better investment in my opinion. I too, bought the Boss RC30, onto which you can record whole songs, backing tracks etc. The Boss e-band is also far superior for le...

:welcome: Deacon Blue. You've come to the right place. Like you, I got turned on by the Blues as a teenager and been a devotee ever since! I see the Playing part as a LIFE WORK. You never stop learning until your brain wears out and apparently, playing an instrument helps to keep that day at bay!!!!...

Re: Autumn Leaves
As you haven't had any answers, I'll jump in. I haven't heard EC's version (should be getting CD for Christmas), but would imagine that he uses standard chords (jazzy) in Am7. I love improvising to the chords, which I've put on my looper in the key of Em7. I love the structure of this and other jazz...

Thanks VB, I really enjoyed that.
I know you have a sense of humour, so I'm asking: Is the abundant hair attached to the Tam or to your head?
If the latter is the answer please send me some clippings!!

Well thanks Lefty Slim! The sight of me dancing around with my early morning coffee 'ain't purty', but I 'lurve' this kind of sound and band. They're straight onto my You Tube Favourites (or in US English: Favorites!!) Keep sharing this kind of thing with the rest of us.

Hi Adam, As already said by the other guys, what I hear sounds good, but there is a lot of crackling from the mike. Like Strummer, I dig the Ibanez acoustic sound. I've got an old Talman which sounds great when not plugged in. Unfortunately not the case when plugged in! Keep playing the Blues..........

Hallo Gerd!
Hoert sich toll an. Heutzutage scheint Deutschland die europaeische Heimat der Blues zu sein.
Viel Spass am 5. November.

VB. Never mind "finding that tone". You've found it. I got very emotional because of the playing!!!
Maybe there's something in the water in Berwick? (No, I don't mean whiskey!)
Excellent.

Re: Need some input...
Number One again. Number 2 is too fussy ( or busy as VB said). The solo gives you a good chance to show your guitar skills. I love the original's 'hard' sound .
I hope you are having a great summer up in 'them thar' mountains Blindboy!
