Re: Epiphonic Blind Test

Congrats Blindboy!! It's interesting how none of the three of us were at all sure, despite Blindboy and I both agreeing on a basic sound type for the two guitar sounds. I know that about the time my interest veered away from electric and towards acoustic guitar the trend for pickups was f...

Re: Last lesson frm the late great Larry

There's no such thing as a wrong note. I like the sound of that world! That lesson would be a great experience for so many of those kids. The man went out while still at the top of his game. Though I can't help feeling that's not a great pay-off for passing at only 73. Truly one of the guitar greats...

Re: Epiphonia Song

Great sounds in both those audio clips, and you have the chops to make the most of your equipments quality. The Back Panel recording and the sound manipulation you set up do a great job of producing realistic sounds. The track duplication / disalignment route is an often useful tool when done...

Re: Epiphonic Blind Test

Hmmmm???!! The first guitar seemed to have more clarity of individual notes and the second guitar a thicker sound. As to whether that should make one a Gibson and one an Epiphone is beyond me! Bit if I was to believe that the Gibson pickups were of superior quality I guess that would mean I'...

That's another big one right enough. :yikes: That'll be a good few tonnes weight I guess.

Any serious damage to the property?

Re: R.I.P. Tom Petty

Rather a shock and rather young too.

There's too many Wilbury's gone. I was watching "End of the Line" yesterday and they all looked so happy and they played wonderful music. I hope they're having a reunion up there now.

Rest in Peace. :tears:

Not a name that had come to my attention before, despite his being born in Scotland.

I've been listening to some of the music on those links. Very fine playing and singing indeed.

Re: A cool bargain at only $250

Sounds great, looks great too, and that asymmetric neck gives it character. But if it feels good, sounds good, and it makes you want to play and be creative then it's a great guitar. Whatever the cost, whatever the badge! Congratulations on your find Fenson! Sorry to hear about the...

Re: Over Three Months

Thanks for the listen and comments Blindboy - I appreciate you taking the time and value your opinions.
Especially when you like what I do!

Shame that recording is off limits for you.

I did enjoy putting that triple improv recording together - you're right, it is a fun approach.

Re: Over Three Months

Thank you for listening and commenting so favourably gentlemen! :D I find acoustic blues rather tricky to do to a level that's better than embarrassing. As I just can't seem to get into playing electric any more it means blues has taken a back seat. I will just keep nibbling away at it and hope an o...

Over Three Months

Over three months since I posted any music here. A once regular routine has rather tailed off. Also aware of how little I've been posting generally. So just to say ... I'm still playing ... well, sort of playing. All my intended projects have stalled but not to worry. So here's a few recent bits and...

A lengthy restoration job - but they usually are for good results!

Hope the freedom to get playing with your new guitars goes well, and that there isn't too much of a learning curve with the upgraded Cubase!
