Oh shit. He can sing too.
(Green about Clapton when he performed Ramblin')

Your voice is much better than you might think and fits well to your playing. It's Blues, not opera... Keep on with it.

Your meds sound like I sometimes need some of them... is it for your arm/hand?

Re: The Dead Bird (a mournful blues)

I think there's maybe a Chris Rea (the recent blues man reborn, Chris Rea that is) influence on my take on this BT - 12bar might be able to comment on this as I know he likes his stuff. :icon_whoknows: There is - this floating, singing tone has a lot of Rea. And the voice - perfect... Remind...

Re: Clapton Winwood 2010 tour

This thread has puzzled me a bit ..............218 views and only 5 responses .and 4 of those are mine !! Usually I love to respond, but from "exile" I hardly can read all posts... For the DT review - forget it. The reviewer seems to know nothing about EC's history. If you enjoyed it, it's fine. If...

Re: Audacity Question

Let's split it into separate problems... Program: you only need one instance of Audacity (although any other may work) to play a BT and record at the same time. Be sure to have "preferences - recording - Overdub" checked. If you hit the record button, it will play the BT and save your playing in a n...

Re: And now for something completely different...

If it does, 12bar,feel free to delete it. That would be a shame - I don't think it will give problems. Playing is really great, mastering the most complicated thing (at least to me) - keeping the steady rhythm while picking those neat little runs. Keep on! BTW - there's no need for tequilas ...

Re: Modes

If you want to know if a chord fits to a scale, you can also use the scale generator on this site ( http://12bar.de/scale_generator.php ). Taking Weelie's example first choose chord - F - major, click the remember button and submit. Next choose scale - G - mixolydian (or any other you want to check)...

A bit late, but:
Sometimes angriness (about whatever...) results in greatest playing, we know this from EC, too. + guitar_fire:: =
Really nice variation on tone!

Re: Teach Me A Lesson

[from exile] Lessons are a very personal thing IMHO. Some people can learn a lot from a GOOD teacher, while others will loose their interest when learning all fretboard notes until tomorrow 7 pm. If you choose to stay self taught, you need a lot of discipline if you want to step forward. You know wh...
