Two great takes on the same BT. And a great backing track! Like to see what others would do with it...

Hope your gig is still on. If so have a bunch of fun, rest and relaxation while you're singin' the blues! Make sure to record it all and do videos if possible. Can't wait!

Sometimes Jazz and Blues musicians dress in similar fashion. Maybe Blues is Jazz for unhappy people?

Re: Fender Prosonic amp back in action...

Seafoam green!! Gotta sound good!! Cool looking device. I want to check out VB's tip on the mods. The reverb tubes are generally 12AX7s which are also preamp tubes. It may have to do with dialing in clean headroom. I'm probably all wet (reverb?) on this though. 5751s are the same basic tube as a 12A...

Re: One Night only - Tedeschi Trucks Band

What a BIG band! they're gonna by here in my town to headline a festival in August or September. It's outside in the streets and it's free! My son plays bass in a band that's booked on one of the stages. Not sure if it's the same day or stage but I'll be down there anyway. It's a 10 minute bicycle r...

ATTACHMENTS slide.mp3 (2.36 MiB) Downloaded 14 times You've shown how much benefit a recording get from well played authentic slide. My slide playing is in a lower divison for sure - a bit 'slide and hope' to arrive at some decent notes - I need to do much more work on slide. You are way too kind V...

Re: Slide guitar romp

Warmup? That slide must be blazin'! Doesn't that burn your slide finger? As usual plenty of way cool slide licks! Sounds great! I wanna copy those licks! The only three I know are getting old! Speeding up is just getting into high gear, or in the case of you SG, OVERDRIVE! Awsome listening Blindboy!...

Re: 'Cool' Blues Players

I think I know where you were lurking, and I thought the original post meant cool as in "laid back" as opposed to "pour on the coals!", low energy versus high energy. But some of the people on that list aren't always "laid back". Then again I don't know a half dozen of ...

Re: Forest fire danger in the Southwest...

Stay safe! I hate forest fires. Had to fight a couple of 'em when I was young and in much better shape. Worked as a timber cutter in the '70s. Back then they would draft our crews to work the fire lines. Now they want trained professionals (and rightly so).
