Re: Eric Clapton Signature Amps
Buddy makes them sound real good too. It's amazing how he gets that dirty with his tone but still gets that strat chime.

Re: Hadn't been in jail, but...
This song has some relevance! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdg8KD-CaWU I know how you feel. I've been home sick for the past 4 days :( I hate being sick. Fortunately, you had your guitar. My mom said I shouldn't play any until I got better. But when she went off to work, the mice will play. Shhhh ...

What about songs that aren't public domain but are posted on other websites like Soundclick?

or better yet, you can tell your wife that since you're buying a 59 Les Paul, you're "saving the trees". Haha

Re: John Mayer
I heard that John takes the opposite way of EC - starting with pop crap, then going to the Blues... Hahahahahaha, never looked at it that way. Atleast he'll get better as he gets older (I hope). Another thing that I really like about him is even in his non-cover songs you can tell he dr...

Re: John Mayer
Hey man, you should be flaming me! I really like Half of My Heart with Taylor Swift lol. His newest album is ok, I completely dislike Crossroads though. It sounds like a midi machine farting that trys to pass off as guitar.MikeJackal wrote: I know please don't flame me) and my personal favourite Stop This Train

John Mayer
Is anyone really digging John Mayer right now? I used to absolutely hate John Mayer, especially his more mainstream pop stuff, but now I can't get enough! :icon_whoknows: My tone went from really distorted to this really glassy-clean Mayer tone within a day and I think I'll keep it (I still like tha...

Re: Jackal's Prefer Blondes
That's amazing! I have an Epiphone Les Paul too and I've been weary of the finish as well. I don't think I have the balls to sand my guitar because if I mess up, there aren't many people around here that could fix it up and put a new finish on. But congrats you! I bet you really like it now that it ...

Re: Bending & Vibrato
When you do your bends do you use one finger or multiple fingers? For the bends that involve my ring finger, I put my other 1 or 2 fingers (middle and index) on the 2 frets behind the ring finger fret and it allows me to have a good grip on the string. Once your bend is set, you can just do what eve...

Re: Best Guitar Parts?
I was thinking about this and I think the part that I value most in my guitars are the necks. The neck on my Les Paul feels like tree trunk, but thats what I love about it. I love the sound of strats and would love to get a real strat, but it makes me wonder how someone like EC for example can prefe...

Re: Best Guitar Parts?
Here's a twist Hans; What would you do if you had a guitar that had the perfect sound you wanted, but you didn't like the feel of the neck, or vice versa?HalfBlindLefty wrote:In fact I don't care to much how it looks, it''s the feel and the sound that a guitar the right one for me

Best Guitar Parts?
As I picked up my guitar yesterday, I thought of the question "What part of the guitar do I like best and why?" :icon_whoknows: . Another way to put it would be, if you were buying a guitar, what makes or breaks the guitar. Is it the body? neck? pickups? even color? I just thought it was a...

Great Tab Website
I don't know if any of you guys have found this yet, but I was browsing last night and found this great site for tabs. It has a guitar-pro like player that plays along with the tab. It has a great amount of blues/jazz/rock artist tabs like BB King, Clapton, Chuck Berry, Django etc. Also, I'm not sur...

(any tips/comments? Turn around and face the audience. Other than that, it was great. haha yeah, I was turned around for the other part of the song but we're kinda new so the I had to watch the drummer and the drummer had to watch me for the ending... which we still managed to mess up th...

Old Video
Hey, I've posted a few times on here that I'm involved with a few pickup bands in my area, I thought I would let you guys see how it's going. The first part of the video is the ending of Crossroads (any tips/comments? :D) and the second song is a newer song but I think the solo I improvised was pret...

Re: Little Brown Bird
Fortunately I found the free trial after another look . But unfortunately, the free trial part cuts off right before it gets to the part I need (the G chord parts). But thanks ElMano, this will definitely help me for other songs (already used it for a B.B. King song)
