I won't be of any help... Just go for the DG20 pickup set or an old Clapton Strat Lace Sensor pickup set with the mid boost!

Re: I have a small GAS

I've heard these pickups on Youtube and they are great! Very Straty like EC Blackie. I have a Strat with the Fender '69 pickups and they do sound very good. In the meantime, the tremolo block has some huge influence on the tone, cold rolled steel ones are highly regarded like the ones made by Callah...

Re: Line6 gearbox settings

It's gone since very long due to the impossibility to have a decent USB driver for Win7. May be line6 was expecting users to buy their most recent gear when Win7 was embedded on all the computers. I waited a whole year in vain hoping this W7 driver issue to be solved, finally I was forced to buy som...

Re: My Music room

Nice music room, is it in an apartment with neighbors around?
Just asking as it is the main reason I have to use a "silent" setup rather than playing with an amp along a sound system when I didn't have neighbors.

Re: Half Brother?

The mother and the "womanizing father" are responsible for their off-spring. Why a half-brother should be held accountable is beyond me. :icon_whoknows: It seems to be the trend in today's press, it's no information anymore but just idiot things for brainless readers who have no reasoning.

Great! Did it fix this volume problem you experienced ?

The same here and indeed not easy to find.
Something more expensive but that seems to work good is the Rack Eleven.

Re: Testing, testing ....

Good tone and great playing! The acoustic sounds good too with the added pickup, though the woody acoustic tone can't be accurately reproduced as you mention. I guess that pickups mostly amplify the string vibration rather than the acoustic sounds. On the other hand on electrics like Strats o...

Re: Wow Widows 10

I don't like (can't stand) Win8 & 8.1 so I stick with 7.
If 10 has the same bad look and feel as 8 for me it's going to be worthless.
I don't want to have a laptop looking like a smartphone, no way!

So when I change my PC I won't have another option than to buy an overpriced Apple.

Re: Epi SG Noodling

Thanks guys! :D All the previous recordings were made with the Tonelab, a pretty good tool I use since years. But it doesn't sound as good as an amp, especially with a very simple rig like mine. I had the opportunity to use my old Peavey Bandit 112 Sheffield as the neighboors are away  A quick ...

Re: Epi SG Noodling

Here is a sound file of the neck pickup with a bit of middle pickup. I did a set up of the PU height and it seems it sounds warmer but the treble bleed capacitors let the highs going through. The bone nut certainly has its influence regarding the sound/tone. I took out the rear plate, the three volu...

I very much enjoyed this collab with Chris. :D I'm grateful for his tolerance of my rusty and out of practice blues playing Thanks a lot Mark! Don't be so hard about your electric playing, it is very good! I couldn't resist bring in the Lowden acoustic for 1 verse. I agree wit Gerd, and on the topm...

Sweet Farewell

Sweet Farewell is a recent collaboration between Mark (VikingBlues) and me. I used the Peerless Songbird except at the very end I play with the Epi ES335, the wide sound was initially a mixer settings glitch I finally decided to keep as it is. Mark used his Hagstrom and his wonderful acoustic. We bo...
