You're phrasing is sounding great to me. There's a lot of 'space' between your notes, as they say. I like it.
It doesn't sound like you're outside your comfort zone! ;/

JazzSwing Take (who knows)!
It's been awhile since I last posted. Since then I am happy to report I took the plunge and have actually performed on stage for the first time! I've only got three performances under my belt, and while it wasn't anything too special, it was great experience and I plan to continue. I wanted to thank...

Re: I have to drop the bomb
I'm sorry, man My grandmother on my mother's side also had the same thing. I remember once I had a horrible lung infection... even standing up made me so winded I almost passed out.. I remember it as the worst feeling I had ever felt.

Re: Jam whit the ELM, Collab
This is a great! I love the rhythm  I'm in Texas for business at the moment, and am away from my guitar :/ I'd love to try and do a lead over it if you want, I love this kind of fast, blues-rock stuff... no guarantees that I can do it justice though. I'll be back home this weekend so maybe I ...

Re: Jazz Swing Blues
Not too quiet for us to hear the quality playing though. Hope you find a solution :fingerscrossed: - recording can be a sod to sort out. Very good use of spaces - you resist the temptations to over play very well. Nice mix with not just single notes in the soloing. Good variations too - ...

Re: Airship Blues
Glad I got to listen to this before it sank too far down! Phrasing is great, and I love the melodic bits that you sprinkled throughout the piece, while still keeping that raw blues feel. "Powerful"

From the BT of the same name. Tried to focus more on phrasing/spacing on this one. Sorry these files are always so quiet; trying to figure out why

I know everyone already said it, but the recording is very good! Guitar tone is clear as hell, and the rhythm track really sets the mood.

Re: Simple blues
 Did you record all the parts? I really like how this sounds; very unique flavor. I'll go through periods where I feel uninspired, I think it is natural. Even though we're always striving to put the most feeling into our creations, it's still a good thing if you can sound good when you're ...

Attempt at no BT
An attempt at going solo without a BT.
I tried to play a steady, Howlin Wolf-style "bass-line" and then recorded a lead guitar part over it. Kinda sloppy (maybe too heavy on the reverb again), but it was fun to try!

Re: Litle harder blues
That was amazing solo work. You really put soul into every note you were playing, and they all "lead" somewhere; like telling a story. I feel like that's the essence of the blues.

Re: It's Not Jazz!!
I agree with the "pro-sounding" comments. Very crisp attack and tone, and the solo moves forward like each note has been carefully chosen. You bounce between major and that minor pentatonic blues sound very well. Also, I think a splash of Jazz in a blues tune can really add that extra some...
