Re: Born Under A Bad Sign

It has Albert's spirit in it! Great raw guitar work and strong voice! :chicken: Just one thing - the song is still under copyright, so it would be nice to post it on soundcloud etc. Ahhh... thanks for the tip! I wasn't sure it there would be a copyright infringement. So is it ok if I post a ...

Born Under A Bad Sign

Hey folks! I just discovered this live track of my blues trio playing the Albert King song "Born Under A Bad Sign". I am singing and playing the guitar.

I hope you enjoy and please comment! Thanks!

Wow beautiful!! You gotta love those Telecasters for playing blues. I too exclusively use a Squier CV50's BSB Tele.

Congratulations!

Re: Jazz Swing Blues

It's good to try and play along with different styles of blues. That's a nice backing track too and you have the right idea. Maybe also try to incorporate some major scale licks in their too. It'll give you a more BB King type sound.

Re: My first ever live guitar solo

I too wish the recording was a little better. You guitar is buried in the mix  From what I could hear it sounded clean and jazzy. I didn't hear any serious clams and your timing was good too.

WOW, this is great!!!! I really like "Can't be satisfied" yes, you guys definitely have an enviable gig going there. So many of us I'm sure wish we had a group to play with. The boom box recording quality as you say, really does give it kind of a old days sound.......sort of like a "newly recovered...

That was sweet! I LOVE the groove and may steal it! Nice tasteful solo lead playing and great tones. Like it's already been said you have a good tight rhythm going with the other guitar playing along with the bass riff. I do that a lot myself. I applaud you for taking up the slide. You sound...
