Re: Pedalling Nowhere

Very interesting sound you have there, I like your acoustic posts. The percussion adds to the effect too although if I was to try something similar I'd avoid guitar tapping and use something like a cajon which can produce a bit more bass end if mic'd from the hole in the back. Great stuff though.

Re: Sad Moon

Enjoyed listening to that ... as 12Bar says ... very fluid! Minor comment would be to direct feed the BT .mp3 into the mix rather than mic it in the air (if I'm guessing right that's the way you did it!). Great playing though

Re: Dusk

Great piece this and also tonally perfect IMO. Love to hear you do some lyrics for this one. I see no conflict between the composer and the instrumentalist! Well done.

Re: I'm not shure about.....

One thing's for sure ... I think this is the best I've ever heard you play. Drives along well, great sustain and sound generally ... very well done! If this is your first go at it I can't wait for the follow-up. Congratulations.

Later ... hmmm seems to work either way (for me!)

Re: A pick made from a coin

I went for smaller / harder picks and progressed into using mostly Jazz picks which are a heck of a lot thicker. Then I thought a bit about using coins (there were a lot of redundant ones around once most of Europe went on the Euro!) and set about making a few up. Just checked and notice I now have ...

This sort of playing always gives me goose bumps ... brilliant!!! JW top of my 'Desert Island' list, particularly 'Life Is Hard'. Magic!

Great blues. Played with restraint with usual Tytl 'surprises'. Love it!

Re: Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Happy Christmas from me after over a year's absence (except for fairly regular 'lurking'). Hardly touched a guitar in all that time but intend to get back to it seriously in 2015. Like the silent_slide piece novel way of doing that tune.

Happy Christmas and very best wishes to everyone for 2014 from me too! Haven't been around for past few weeks, got completely side-tracked on something else ... that's life!! Oh. and 'winter' in Spain isn't treating us so bad. We notice it's a bit colder (down to between 8 and 10C at night) but afte...

Re: Outside my confort zone

Hey Michael, why say it's crap? Your playing is well balanced in the mix with the BT, tonally very nice, timing faultless, no bum notes ... and you're a heck of a lot better at doing endings than I can ever seem to manage! About the only thing I might suggest is on a couple of non-consecutive verses...

Re: Anywhere But Up - VB Collab with Tytlblues

Nice collab this. At the moment I can tell who's playing which bits from note choices (although tonally that's more difficult). But I have a suspicion it's going to get harder to tell you guys apart the more of these things you do together! Well done.

Re: My Lemon Drops Taste of Sorrow

Well, I didn't spot any warts, so played it again and even then couldn't convince myself about a note at 2:56!!! And the 'bend on the end', OK its a bit truncated but at least you attempt endings whereas, mainly (because I usually mess 'em up) I just fade stuff out! About the only thing I might obse...

Re: Cab and Studio Story

Thanks for comments guys, I've kind-of been putting off responding until I had some progress to report. This new upload has some more up-to-date info regarding the new cab build ... whereas the studio is still in much the same muddle as before!! The cab activity has itself been going rather slowly d...
