Re: Public Domain Blues Songs - Free To Record

Most Blues songs are still protected by copyright, as already mentioned in this post. However, there are some (early) Blues songs published before 1923 that are Public Domain (PD), so they can be used freely, recorded including lyrics, and uploaded here. I'll try to collect them in this thread, tog...

It's amazing how similar your guitar looks to the one Jeff Healy made.

Re: Redhouse

Well, unfortunatley the organisation in New York that owns and runs everything to do with Jimi Hendrix will not give me permission to post my version of Redhouse, even though I stressed it was for a non profit use and only to let you guys hear it. I will try to get around to posting something else o...

Re: Advice from Strat players?

I know this reply is quite a bit late but I've just really joined this forum. If you've still not selected pick ups for your Strat type guitar you should consider sticking with single coils but try and get a hold of Fender Texas Special pick ups, they are awsome and the guitar will sing. :music2:

Re: 6x8 Blues in G - Strat tones before finishing body

This is a great backing track, very laid back bass line and it lends itsefl to anything from a mellow jazz/blues orientated lead guitar to a power blues ballad arrangement of vocal and screamimg lead, I like this a lot. If I get time I'll do something with it. :music2:

Re: Redhouse

Ok, I've emailed an organisation re the Copyright for Redhouse and asked their permission to up load my song so that others on this forum can hear it so I'll give it a week or so for a reply and if it's positive I'll upload it again, failing that I'll have to dig out my old blues collection and mayb...

Re: Redhouse

:welcome: first... You did a great version, excellent playing. I only have one please: remember the copyright. If you sing, this will give a nice point of attack for the lawyers (had this a year ago)... Some members upload it to a third party server (although strictly speaking they could be sued no...

Re: Deep Blue BT

Hi Guys Thought I would upload one of my songs and see what everyone thought... I muted the lead part so I guess it's considered a Backing Track now... This tune is a simple little 12 bar in the Key of E.... (E..A..B)... 70 Bpm's... rather long 8:30 min... So you have a lot of time to noodle around...

Re: Redhouse

As an 'add on' to one of my posts above where I was explaining what I used to record the song, I should have said that I didn't D.I. the guitar into the Boss 12 CD, I used an S.E. Electronics condenser mic, it costs around £130 Sterling and is pretty accurate with it's sound reproduction, hope that ...

Nice one. Good job of guitar AND vocal. Dunno how all you guys on the forum can get heavier distortion to sound as musical and not just a noise.
