Nostalgic link
I just got a nostalgia hit reading/looking at a Life magazine, issued Jun 28, 1968. Complete. Cream content, Hendrix, umm... others, in context, layered in 'so sixties' Americana advertising. Good colour pic of Cream [SG in EC arms] check out link: http://books.google.com.au/books?id=xlQEAAAAMBAJ&am...

Re: Loopstation extravaganza... darn he's good
From our end of the world, Lliam Finn and Eliza Barnes, loops pulled off perfectly.
How much practice would this take??? The risk is that... one mistake and its probably "unsaveable".

Re: BBs long long note during solo, 10+secs
BTW, regarding the BB performance (and different Lucille tone) I mentioned at the top, I may have a student's mp3 of the BB solo (mp3 at 320bps sampling, file size is 19mb) sitting in my email box.

Re: BBs long long note during solo, 10+secs
Wow, thx for clues on feedback. And thx for the video. In the Ten Days Out performance Lucille sounds more overdriven and BB is more on the mark, its a long version (masterpiece?) - 8min30secs.. the backers are superb too. So far my most loved electric recordings are: 1. The Thrill Is Gone - BB King...

Re: Welcome
Thx for the welcomes. The more threads I see here, the more i like it. As for ringtones, I have a rock classic currently on my phone. To think of the performer's angst, the life energy gone into a song -and the memories associated with it, the soul that lives in it... and it ends up as a commercial ...

Re: Strat Project Diary
The pricey part (but the most important) was the neck. When I began doing SAR Fenders I realised found the quality of the neck is vital. All necks are not created equal. Since I am a wood work klutz, I have to buy the best bits I can. I have made some Fenders for friends on a budget too. So I have l...

BBs long long note during solo, 10+secs
I got a cd of a live version of The Thrill Is Gone, vocal & solo by BB King and his backing band AND with Kenny Wayne Shepherd trading licks with him too. Great live track. I love it, its in my head at the moment, you know what its like.. Anyway, during the "conversation" betwee...

Hi Just joined. What a great resource for learners! Found this by looking for Before You Accuse Me which I'm learning. I've thought about why i took up guitar - my tutor asked me too - and I think its because I love it and because its cheap relaxation. I plug in after work and hit some punk power ch...
