Re: I Need My Bed Blues

The first one sounds a bit like a John Lee Hooker born in Scotland...

The second one is very atmospheric. Walking through the highlands, something like that.

And yes, that tuning it definitely yours. :music1:

The drone thing reminds me of the intro from Pink Floyd's "Shine on you crazy diamond"... :music2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWGE9Gi0bB0 Italy is fantastic. Re: A Blues and a not so Blues

- Just back from my holiday in Italy  -

Interesting concept to play around the root note drone, I think I'll give it a try.

BUT, more important, the Early Morning Torpor Blues is clearly among the best acoustic songs you ever uploaded. Just amazing.

Re: Phrasing and timing

I don't have perfect pitch, I even have a hard time to play a melody I have in my head. So I don't think much while playing and let my fingers to the work. That's why I usually play "save", but sometimes I'm lucky to find a new lick or note that fits perfectly although it's not part of the scale I j...

Bad enough getting home at a normal time with the brain battered to a pulp and no energy reserves left for guitar.

Re: Spam user detected

We recently had some spammers here, trying to place links to commercial websites. They looked like normal posts, the link was added afterwards, so I didn't notice them at first. :naughty: I had to tidy up a bit, install some updates and deleted a lot of users who either never logged in or never made...

Beautiful words, couldn't say it better. My dad didn't play guitar, but allowed me to have keyboard lessons when I was young.
Father's day here in Germany is a bit earlier in May, but tomorrow my dad has his 85th birthday

RIP Malcolm. :tears: Another unique artist is gone.
He played with EC on several albums and they had great respect for each other.

During the VH1 duets EC was on his peak - it was during the Nothing but the Blues phase.

Re: blues advice need

Sounds like you've learned the basic stuff well and now you need to use it your own way. Like already said - sit down and play as much as possible. Learn a few songs really well - note for note - and then try to improvise over the Blues classics.

:welcome: btw!

Re: See You In New Orleans Song and possible Collab

I also tried Cakewalk and got the same error - no audio device. Re-installed, suddenly it was there. But I'm so used to Reaper now that I copied some of the good vst's that were included and deleted the rest.

From 400 to zero Euro - Cakewalk by Bandlab sure is now a good alternative!

Re: See You In New Orleans Song and possible Collab

Samplitude is definitely running with Win10, my son is using it. Sounds like a DVD error. You may try to download and install it. The versions are online, too. I can recommend Reaper, as it's available in a portable version, which makes backups much easier. I use portable apps since a long time for ...
