The guitar (The Loar) has been tuned down to C F Bb D#... etc. Heavier gauge. That darker sound just pleases my ears...

Well, "Just One NIght" era!... EC is using same kind of pattern he used for "Lay Down Sally". Alternate picking between the D and the G strings. E ______________________________________________ B ______________________________________________ G ____0_____0___________0_______0____...

Don't have this Clapton 's album but EC usually plays this song in C. So chords are C, F, G. As far as I know, EC doesn't play chords, but licks in between lyrics, mostly mimicking the melody itself, and usually plays his solos using the well known pentatonic scale.
