Well I admit I'm pleasantly gobsmacked. Didn't know that Fender had done the ECS in DB, but I'm glad they have. Beautiful geetar. And good luck once more Zimbo. :D

VB - Many thanks for the decode info. This is what I got after input:

The unit with serial number BE30385 was produced October 1992. The unit is number 20385.

I'll have to arrange something for the birthday, eh? :big_smile:

VB - Hey, great piece of kit. :cool: Here I attach a pic of my ME-6. This must be nearly 20 years old then? I bought it in the early 90s but can't remember exactly when. And apart from a new plug from Roland (the metal sleeve at the end of the got yanked more than once...and so), it's still as good ...
