Re: latest collab with Richard Brown: one bottle 'O beer

Hi MR
well as a vocalist you need to play with either a guitarist acousticly or a band/backing track with a guitarist. the wah wah is an effect pedal i case that is what you didn't know what it is :-)

Re: Borderline Plagiarism

dang.. quoting went wrong.. ok, edit: Viking said: Not too off topic at all. How could something with singing of that quality be off topic! :D "Liitle Girl" must be a good example of how physical limitations on playing don't stop a very musical result. Harmonies on the vocal work we...

Re: In C

   :chicken:    good job MR! only in the beginning there's a note that sticks out as 'odd' but don't forget, in blues you can push the scale to the limit, and that one little note is gone before you know it so it doesn't bother at all. it's that you sa...

I stumbled up on a very old folk song 'casey'. the guitarist I worked with at that time played it exactly as from the songbook, then I extended it a little and sang a whole choir behind it and...

Hi Michael, don't worry about the grammar! thanks a lot! yes it is a very old Negro Spiritual going back to the slavery time. glad you like this version as well. it is fun to mix jazz/ soulfull vocal with a little bit of classical!

Re: Drown In My Worries...Another Dee Original

http://12bar.de/community/download/file.php?id=3015 I really enjoy both of these. Interesting to contrast the two periods and styles. The earlier one really reminds me of the "Big Folk Music Scare" of the '60s, which was a big part of my young life. The blues tune is impressive, bo...
