I'm back!
Hi all, I have returned after a period of absence. Not sure how much time I will have to record stuff, but I am still playing guitar, and as a matter of fact this year marks two milestones, my 8th year of guitar playing and my last part of my senior year in college, when I obtain my bachelor's in Ac...

Greetings from SL2!
Hi all! I have been extremely busy with college, now happily done with my last algebra class. Only two more stat classes left for Math.. 70% through my accounting degree.. Onto guitar, still playing, even with my study time and work two days a week time. I learned Red House a couple of weeks ago, an...

I hope it's a good one Eric! From what I've heard, you still sound great! I hope you have a great celebration, whatever you can do on your tour!

Re: No Thought in Aeolian
That was very tastefully done VB! I had to pick up my guitar and play along, with my V3MC on clean! Of course, I did not play nearly as artfully and skillfully as you, but I picked up on the key and began improvising along with your guitar. It inspired me to just relax and play and not think too hard!

Re: New little buddy!
Here you guys go. Just recorded from my laptop's built in mic, so excuse the quality. But in person, the amp has a really beautiful clean sound and I am falling in love with the dirty channels. I am still adjusting the 2nd channel, for a dirty rhythm/licks sort of thing, but I am very happy with it....

New little buddy!
Good morning all! Well at least here in Southern California where I am at anyway. Yesterday I just picked up the latest addition to my amplifiers, the 50W, Carvin V3 Micro Combo. The awesome thing about it, is it has three power settings from 7 W to 50W, so you can have lesser output, if you are in ...

Re: An update..
I think you're right 12bar, and thanks for your comments! If I could import the backing track into GB on iPad, I would try a lower distortion setting. That one upon listening seems a bit too "wobbly" for my tastes now. It's all about getting the right sound on the recording setup I have, w...

Re: Embarassing gig moments
Whew boy BB! I certainly look forward to the day where I can accumulate more "gig" experience if I tell stories like that, or maybe not. :P Certainly makes mine seem not like a big deal. One time I just blanked out and then realized my guitar teacher was signing, so perhaps it would be a g...

Re: An update..
Thanks VB! Weird about SoundCloud, still getting used to using it! Dont' know if I even use its features. I am guessing it will mainly become an online repository for my recordings! Hope that I can put up some uploads from jams too, audio only of course! Thanks for your kind words, I guess I just ha...

Embarassing gig moments
Just curious, what are your top embarassing gig moments? I am sure everybody has at least had a few, and thought that this might be a good topic. To start off, here are some of mine: One of the first times that we did the jams on the corner, I was playing rhythm and then a young girl my age or so at...

An update..
Hi all! I hope everybody is well! In between school madness, finishing science courses (one left) and an accounting course, I have found some time to record some stuff. Keep in mind, that I hadn't played for a week or so due to an attack of the flu. Here is my soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/jack-...

Been busy..
Hey guys, Sorry for dropping off the edge of the earth. Been busy with school, and just finished an insurance adjusters course, and have been busy playing at the weekly jams and been working on my pedal board set up through an effects loop, with my guitar teacher. I've been progressing steadily in m...

The big jam report
Hi all! So last friday's jam was a total success, and our drummer was incredible! He had only been playing the drums for ten days, never had drummed in his life (performing) before that day. And the amazing thing was, he drummed on all of our songs on the set list: Badge Summer Song Friends in Low P...

Re: Back after a long break
Thanks VB! Tonight, hopefully we should have a drummer, and maybe (keep your fingers crossed), just maybe a bassist! And I am bringing another pedalboard that I own (A Line 6 M13) to try some new sounds. The main new song that I am going to play with them, along with some others, is Johnny B. Goode....

Back after a long break
Hey guys! I am back after a couple of months of absence, having gotten back from a tropical vacation to Guam, and started back on my guitar lessons again. Currently am working on Allman Brothers' Jessica and Ramblin' Man, and Johnny B. Goode. My lead playing has tremendous improved, I feel, since I ...

Guitar lesson progress!
Hi all! Long time no see! I have been gone for a bit, having just gotten back into my school work after my trip to Guam to visit my neighbors who have moved there, I have been taking guitar lessons again to work on more melodic soloing. I have been working in Mel Bay Book three, and almost halfway t...
