Many people did not realize Magic Slim lived the last almost 20 years of his life here in Nebraska, in Lincoln. I really regret to say I never got to see him perform. His "home" bar, where he performed a lot in Lincoln was one named the Zoo Bar. The owner of the Zoo Bar is a huge supporter...
