Re: Not Blues - but a Video I spent a LONG time on!

You may beat me, but I never really got into the Beatles (except the one song with EC). I know there were great, played lots of gigs before getting famous (especially here in Germany), but their music does not touch me :icon_whoknows: . Don't know why. Unbelievable, but I don't even have a Beatles ...

Re: Not Blues - but a Video I spent a LONG time on!

Thanks Hans and Viking Blues! I know that it's not just the physical source of the sound that matters - but that's correct that there are a BUNCH of "clone Covers' (including photos - almost all of which are accessible from multiple sources) of SFF on YouTube (some with the person singing the f...

Not Blues - but a Video I spent a LONG time on!

This is a video that I started about 5 years ago, and only worked on now and then until early December ... but while I had set myself a deadline of about a week (hint) to get this done and UP somewhere.... it took me forever, for reasons I'll explain after you watch it! It's not Blues, it's a Tribut...

:tears: OUCHIE!!! :yikes: :eye_rub:  Wow, blindboy, that's horrible sounding! I know nerve damage, as my entire sciatic nerve was stretched from the bottom of my spine literally down into my big toe back in 2001 when I had a 3-level global lumbar fusion (that was a real OUCHIE!!) and the nerve ...

Re: A brief introduction

:welcome: Hi Avarage! And this is special (to me, anyway) as besides the one post I made a couple of hours ago about Gerd (AKA 12bar - the Admin and beloved leader :high5: here) and his losing his Mother unexpectedly the other day (which was a post to Gerd and everyone), this is my first post since ...

Re: Sad news from Gerd

I USED to go by "Jim S" (in case you don't know who this is) but when the name "Jim" became available a year ago, I took it. I am back from a LONG time away - but the terrible news from Gerd, forwarded to me by my good friend Hans, has brought me back. I hope to be able to help o...

Re: Your favorite slowblues

TO be honest, I still am not used to reading this board yet, and I'm having a little trouble separating the text replies from the names and other info (which was easy in the old forum -- but I'll get used to it in a while). so I'm probably repeating other people, but my all time favorite slow Blues ...

There was an article last week I think, from the Guitar Center that bought and houses Blackie and other of Eric's prized guitars that he auctioned off at Cristie's for his Antigua center(...) Yes - see http://12bar.de/community/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=33  YUP! That's it! I should have known y...

Re: After years of a loving relationship...

I guess I'm not so imaginative.....mine are - the strat - the tele - the brown one - the blue one - the white one - etc. Maybe that's why our 'relationships' aren't better than what they are! Well, I think there's nothing wrong with whatever names you want to use... but *maybe* the guitar nam...

Re: Open Mic Blues...

KEWL!! (never actually used that spelling of Cool before, but I've seen it used and just felt like it today.. :) ) That is what makes a GREAT road worthy guitar indeed! EC was incredibly attached to Blackie, as we all know, and he played it at virtually every concert for 15 years... but many of thos...
