Hey guys, I've been playing a little over two years. This year, I found who I'm going to spend my life with (a sunburst Fender fat-strat, of course!). I took lessons for about a year and built up a solid foundation for classical stuff, I spent the last few months learning blues stuff and working with scales.
So what's next?
I'd like to move towards rock, but definitely Blues-Rock and classic over metal. I've become pretty proficient with using the C/Am pentatonic and blues scales, but I'm not sure what to learn next scale-wise, and what to learn chord-wise. I know quite a few basic chords, and I'm proficient with barres.
I love Clapton, SRV, and Mayer (blues stuff), but I really don't know where to go next. Help?

If I were you I'd practice the Minor Pentatonic scale in every key (F,F#,G,G# and so on) and playing even with a Db Min. Pent.
Then I'd go to a teacher that will teach me how to harmonize the major scale.. and then learn what is the Dorian and the Mixolydian mode.
Finally I'd play all day long!
