Greetin's ya'll -- just got back from the Beale Street Music festival in Memphis this weekend.
Had a fantastic (but muddy) time and saw a mess 'o blues players. One of the more interesting was James "Super Chikan" Johnson."
For those of you who haven't heard of him, Super Chikan plays out of Clarksdale Mississippi and has his own take on the Delta Blues.
He also plays some very unique custom guitars.
I grabbed a few quick pix of his guitars to share...

And the wierdest, uh - most interesting.
This last one has no fingerboard, and is a Diddly Bow fashioned from a half of a Harley tank.
They are a kind of folk art in their own right. He sells them online at http://chikanshack.com/

Here's the video. Please forgive the unintended 'shaky-cam' effect. 
Shot in the rain with my Canon camera. Kind of shaky and too many pedestrians...but I thought the playing and the axe were interesting enough to post anyhow.
He plays mostly in the mid-south USA. But has dates on his website for ME, NYC and the upcoming Notodden Blues Festival in Norway 2009-07-31.
