On Friday we had the 20th North Sea Blues Festival here in Emden (Germany) with 12 bands playing in 12 bars (but not only 12 bar Blues...).

Among them a left handed guitarist from the Netherland , but it wasn't HBL.

I couldn't visit all gigs, but the ones I saw were great, and also frustrating somehow. So many excellent guitar players...

I've spend most of the time listening to Al Catasso's Blackjack Band. A power trio in the style of Cream or Jimi Hendrix Experience. They played everything from Cream to Hendrix, from Led Zeppelin to old Blues standards, even the Beatles. At first I thought another shredder out there, but I was wrong - they played fantastic, sometimes a bit like Heavy Metal including two hand tapping, but also slow Blues numbers with a lot of feeling. Blues vocalist Angela Brown joined them on stage and they played great together.
