Anyone with Windows 7?

Post by 12bar »

A user reported problems with windows 7 / IE when using the scale generator http://12bar.de/scale_generator.php
I can't use "Copy" [edit: the image]. I probably couldn't before and just didn't know it.
"Copy" appears to work and so does "Paste" (into a Word doc) but nothing
actually gets pasted.

I can't drag the slider on the right edge in order to scroll. However, each
time I double click at the top or bottom of the slider area the slider moves
a little. And if I double click in the blank area between the slider and
either end of the area the slider moves to that spot. A single click won't
do it. Very strange. Anyway, I can do everything I need to - so I am
happy.
(...)
I always get the message at the bottom left corner of the screen saying
"Error on page."
It would be a great help if anyone can check this and report the error.

It behaves the same way on mine with IE8.
Copy and Paste doesn't work, the commands copy and paste under "Edit" are grayed out.
Tried with Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v, same thing.
The slider doesn't work either when I try to drag it down, but the mouse wheel
works fine and I can scroll down like that.

I did a test with IE8 compatibility mode on, the problem is still present.
I am not so familar with IE8 as I mostly use Firefox or Chrome so there might
be some fine tuning to apply in order to fix that I am not aware of.

Gerd,

I'll give it a test run with my wifes computer later on... I've had no forum issues during the holiday though

Looks like I've found a possible reason, I'm working on it. Other pages should work OK, because it's an IE8 specific javascript problem. :wall:
