Trying to tame the SG

Post by Blindboy » Thu Feb 16, 2017 4:59 pm

You know how a Jazz musician will often take a blues tune and turn it into a nice jazz song? I take a nice jazz tune and turn it into a blues jam.

Trying to tone down the SG (it likes to yell) and get some sounds that aren't so over the top.

Maybe so. It wasn't intentional. :icon_whoknows:

You've done a good job in taming the SG beast there!

Bluesy and Jazzy both, and sounds good to me on both counts.

Yes - there's some "All Your Love" in it, but thankfully without that irritating slide up before every phrase.

When you channel the blues like you do it makes sense that the blues sensibility will infuse into other genres and styles - which makes from some rather splendid crossover sounds.
