Re: Hello everyone from West Yorkshire
to the forum Kenneth.
That's some rough road you've travelled. Great that you've battled back on playing guitar and good you've found one that suits you so well.
The open tuning and slide is a good idea if you have problems with the fretting hand. I know players who have given themselves a new lease of guitar playing life when disabled with arthritis in the left hand by playing slide. A slide that fits the finger well is worth its weight in gold if my experience of trying to play slide is anything to go by - several previous attempts fizzled out in total failure - largely it turns out through having much too loose fitting and poor quality a slide - till I discovered diamondbottlenecks.com. and invested in a made to measure quality slide.
Giving up the booze sounds a good alternative to drinking yourself to death, but takes a huge amount of willpower - while not being at either end of that spectrum I've certainly found benefits from being on just 1 to 2 glasses of wine per week this last 7 months instead of 2 to 3 glasses a day.
Look forward to seeing you round on the forum.

That's really a story of Blues! Stay here and share some of your songs - maybe we should start a collab, the last one is long ago

Howdy. from the mountains of New Mexico. Look forward to hearing your pickin'. Sounds like you have rarified taste in acoustic guitars.
