Greetings !
tonequester here.
Just thought that I'd introduce myself, for what it's worth. Real name, Larry Boydston. I'm 54+ and have been playing, repairing, and modifying guitars and amps for 32 years. A blues fan first, formost, and always, I also enjoy some Classic country, vintage rock, rock n' roll, and vintage pop. When I use the term vintage, it's pretty much pertaining to pre-1980. My tastes are towards music even older than I am. I bought my first album, Meet the Beatles, in about 1970. As far as blues go, I love :
Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, Lightnin' hopkins, Albert King, T-Bone Walker, Robert Johnson, Eric clapton(esp. his early work-Yardbirds-cream), Stevie Ray Vaughn,
Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green, Little Walter, and i could go on for another 10 minutes. I'll be asking questions. I may even have an answer or two. I look forward to
participating in this forum. If I learn the half of what I have on the music electronics forum Ampage, and find as many "friends" here, I'll be well blessed.

I like that list of players you did (so many good ones - maybe another 10 minutes wouldn't be enough!. Know just what you mean about a taste for music older than yourself.
Look forward to seeing you around on the forum.

Back "atcha" ! tonequester here.
Pleased to "meet' 12bar, Viking Blues, Strummer 07, BlindBoy, 2WheelsOfBlues,kiwiclapton, and MichaelRobinson! This must be quite an international thing here. Thanks for the welcome. I can see that this will be a great experience for me. Warning ! I'll try to learn all I can from folks like you all. To answer strummer 07, I hail from just outside Kansas City, where a rich tradition of Blues music is still alive and "kickin". You are the second person that I have ever conversed with from the British Isles that I'm aware of. I have a friend on Ampage, a musid electronics forum, who lives in Glasgow, Scotland. I modify, troubleshoot, repair electric guitars and amps(all tube, all tone). I've been at it, both playing blues/blues rock, and keeping the technology rolling as well for over 30 years. So I can definately relate to Viking Blues. It's great to know more American bluesmen as well as one from the Netherlands, and one fron new Zaeland.
I wish you all the BEST, in blues, and in life itself. Thanks again for the welcome. I write down everybody's "handle" so i'll remember you when we "meet" again.

, TQ, from Austin, Texas.
We seem to have a pretty stable community here with just enough rotation of active members to keep things lively.
You'll get to know a bunch of good people pretty well over time. It's a great place.
With your knowledge of electronics you may find yourself receiving as many questions as answers.
Welcome!
