Home alone blues....
Well, my wife has gone to DC for five days, so I am holding down the fort for a while. About the only good thing about Miriam being gone, is that I can play lots of guitar.
So, I pour a glass of wine, light an illicit cigarette, and download a BT from Jamtrax. I grab the Casino and try to get introspective. I'm trying to explore tension and release, and intimacy.
Casino through Line6 thingie. Played entirely with fingers alone on both hands, except for a brief period toward the end, where I was trying for a more intense sound. I soon went back to flesh on steel for the rest of the tune.

Re: Home alone blues....
Mission accomplished!!
That's one emotive piece of restrained blues playing. Love the Casino tones on whatever Line6 setting it is. The flurries of notes work very well to adjust the tension - those flurries are very fluent and sound very natural. That's a nice effect when the softer playing comes back in again near the end - very sweet tone as a contrast.
I know I would have to resort to my music if Sandra was away for a week - otherwise i'd be totally miserable.

A really nice tone, sometimes a bit like Mark Knopfler or ES during the NBTB tour, where he did some fingerstyle stuff. Fit good the the work on tension and release.

Thanks guys...
After listening to this, I can tell that I have been listening to Albert Collins and Buddy Guy recently.
Yeah, the pick was from about 2:30 to 3:30...
