Poor Black Mattie improvised version

Post by Giorgio »

Hi all, this is an improvised cover of the classic R.L. Burnside song caught with a cell phone! I hope you'll enjoy it. Unfortunately there is only the audio of the song! Thanks!

Excellent slices of acoustic blues there - nicely improvised! Played with feeling and style.

The quality comes through fine - not at all bad for sound for a cell phone recording!

You ceep the blues tempo all the way through. It's noway to escape the rythm. Youre in or youre out of the song, as listener

Oki. I call the rhythm of the Poor Mattie for freight trains rhythm. To me it sounds like a train and it does not surprise me if the ground at one time was the thump rails when a train rushed forward on the rails and joints gave the rhythm.
