Trainwreck Blues Band

Post by Blindboy »

Here we are wrecking an Otis Rush tune...

This is one of our more energetic numbers. The crowd seems to like it...
There are numerous times where I lose the thread of what I am doing and just fake my way through it, but I think I pulled it off. :phew:

Thanks. :D
The tempo changes are one of the things that make this song fun to play. (and a challenge  )

Excellent piece of blues from you guys!

Very real and far from fake! Playing from gut feeling and in the moment - that's blues!

Thanks, VB. Yes this is totally from the gut. (much of my playing is...)
We hadn't done this one in a while and I missed a couple of the standard licks, so I just made sure I was on time and hit the "end of the verse lick".
Looking back at it and trying not to be too self critical, I think I pulled it off. I still need work on all aspects of my playing, but that will always be true, no matter how good I may get. We are all in that same boat.
