Another one - Devil Walk You Down

Post by Blackhorse »

Here's another original song by my band (band is called Woodlark).

Acoustic, not sure if this is blues, but it's bluesy - or maybe more like an old spiritual. Just a very simple melody. Maybe kinda Alison Krauss/Union Station?

This is in G, Gerd. No capo this time!

Simple melodies are not a bad thing at all when sung / performed to this standard!

The arrangement makes for a very hypnotic feel and the ending works too, which is not an easy thing to do on a hypnotic type of arrangement where a fade out is often employed as the easy option.

I enjoyed hearing this as a gentle start to the morning.

No capo and not many chords used, but sometimes less is more!
Nice atmosphere, I like it a lot
