An ode to Jonny Winter...recorded this summer....after learning of the passing of the great Jonny Winter, wanted to do something that captured some of his extraordinary great fiery Texas blues!!

Fiery indeed, but with a mournful edge if my ears don't deceive me and some tasty slower licks too.

Those bits with a great thick walls of sound work very well too.

Great the way you maintained the intensity all the way through - good way to start the day for me to listen to this - glad you posted it!

If you try to mimic the JW or just trying you on the style I do not know. Anyway play well with fury as the driving force. Run hard and wild.......

This sort of playing always gives me goose bumps ... brilliant!!! JW top of my 'Desert Island' list, particularly 'Life Is Hard'. Magic!

Whoo Hoo! Fiery and intense. I can hear the Johnny influence here, shining through.
I was lucky enough to see Johnny with Robin Trower opening at a bar in OKC back in the early '90s. It was a killer show, and one of the guys I came with got into a shootout in the parking lot afterward. A memorable show!
