Lol It's the little leather tab used to open the storage compartment. It ought to be in good shape, it's brand new (2016). I can't wait to plug it in!

OK, I had noticed the e at the headstock. Mine from the 90's has the Gibson label, but from what I've read the Epis are now better than
the original...
It's wonderful to play with the fingers. I've even removed the pickguard...
