This is my latest guitar build. A weissenborn which has taken me 7 months to build. I work as a design teacher in the Netherlands and so have access to tools and equipment etc. Finished this off in my garage over the Christmas holiday break from school
Came across this lovely site while looking for blues guitar tabs etc.

Very happy to be here and looking forward to sharing the blues experience :D

Best wishes everyone who reads this.

David

:welcome: to the forum David. :D

That's a classy looking instrument you've built - it looks like a great reward for the hard work that went into making it.
What sort of woods did you opt for in the build?

I keep finding myself looking at weissenborns on a fairly regular basis and wondering if I should try one at some point. But I have enough to work on with acoustic guitars and mandolin to keep me going just now.

Very nice job!
My father was a luthier and made one of those once. It sounded neat, but I could never get used to playing on my lap. (that's the reason I got rid of my old lap steel years ago)

:welcome: from Sweden.

Nice guitar. You know how to build this thing, I just wish I could.

Any time for a "sound check" ?

A bit late with all the holiday stress...

Looks like a slide guitar (lap steel) - wonderful - any sounds for us?
