DIY Speaker cabs

I got a splendid 300watt bass amp top and a hugh speaker cab. Loaded whit 2 horns of 100 watt each and 4X 10" speakers of 30 watt each. The cab is secured by an extra heavy Coil and filter. (this cab was used by a Hammond organ player before i bought it) The cab works wonderful on the musicman 5 string. But it was very heavy and because of the size, not so easy in transport. This summer i changed from a landrover Freelander into a Subaru Outback Wich has a much different trunk. I used a peavey TK0 80 combo for small gigs but it is a bit to weak and whit 1X12" the sound is not so bright as a want.
For the cumming gig (5 april) and the live recording sessions for our CD i went looking for a smaller cab. But in the 320 watt range everything is not so easy to handle. So i stripped the cab and build myself a smaller set by splitting the setup in two new boxes, and made them a bit slimmer, and a whole lot lighter. Tomorrow i pick up the ordered speaker grills and protect the corners.
The sound test made a happy bass player of me :chicken:
