Very reflective and sweet sounding. Toneful and tuneful (third time I've typed that on the forum today - must come up with something new to say soon!).

Certainly a hint or two of DG in there, and none the worse for that.

Your hiss, rumble and noisiness when you're messing about is higher than my final version standards! Anyway - point is that it's all good if it gets the HBL music making on the go!

Exactly my point  Looks like my eighties mixer is in for a caps job, but I'm thinking there to many caps in there.....

Ok next one,
Don't think I used this effect that's deep inside Cybie before
Kitty's chords and Cybie's Fuzz is in the bluesroom.

Ooops - I should have worded that better - I meant to say that if there was hiss, rumble, and noisiness when you're messing about the quality of what you've done is still higher than my final version standards! I missed a few words and completely screwed up the meaning. But I know your upper frquency hearing is way better than mine so you'll hear much more of these problems than me. :D

Don't worry VB, I thought so and felt like making a bit of mhhh... pun with it. I hate that hiss, but I could have filtered it out if I had been patient enough to wait and think before I threw away the recording originals after creating the stereo mix track.... stupid me.

What's HBL up to now..... maybe to no good :haha:

Been playing a little with my CT / Tokai tone a little. adding a little gain, loosing a little presence and switching from the CT's reverb to the Gmajor's
Today was all about dynamics and grit to frequency and atack response.

Found a nice BT in F on youtube and played some notes to test the sound. Thinking of this topic made me cut out a not to bad example and upload it.
What do you guys think, am I there ? should this be my base tone from now on ?

It sounds quite good, the single coil almost sings like a 'bucker!
You nailed quite a good tone here and top notch playing!
For blues it seems to be the good choice.

As I said before, I say again. I think you have a lot of good sound to get to. I stand by that. This latest is no exception. You almost always get to the good, I am satisfied. Hope you're happy.

Yeah - that certainly works well as a tone.

Certainly one that would would work well on your blues  , though I'm not so convinced it would suit your more melodic based music!

Fetched Little sister from her stand and had some fun with a couple of chords, lead lines and some effects.

Chords, for a darn good reason ;) are Em, Cmaj7, Am and D
Lead lines... just what my fingers felt like playing

Very fine melodic lines weaving around those couple of chords. The opening phrase is a very strong introduction to the recording.

Great skill on display with the depth of feeling to the playing. Shows the chords in the backing do not need to be complicated to make an effective recording.

Thanks, was a nice one to play around with. It's a bit odd, how chords, the way they're played and the tempo can make different melody schemes pop-up out of nothing.

I feel playing the guitar can be very comforting and it's a great way to find some inner peace. Put things aside and just let music flow out of my fingers.

This afternoon I recorded a little chord sequence using the Jamman ( still not sure if I'm gonna keep that pedal, I use it by far not much enough to account for it's value)
Anyway, this evening, the chord sequence ( A,Gm7,Bm,E) got transfered to my PC and warped into my DAW,
Started out with looping the sequence for a couple of minuted.
Then I added some slight chord strokes way below the first track.

Threw the stuf into a loop and kicked record
First lady, Cybie and I had a comforting time :) so I called the endresult "comfort food" (music is food for the soul)
So once again, HBL took a step away from the Blues

May not be so much blues in style but the spirit of the blues is still in there.

Certainly a lot closer to blues than what some of us are playing these days.

Very soothing, healing music - a very good way to start a Monday  ....... before things go rapidly down hill.
