Re: Combo Amp Speaker Connection Cable

Hi VB
A little bit of brute force and bending sideways is often needed to disconnect the "female" lugs on speakers.
Often you need to use some sort of plier to bend/pull the lugs of the speakers "male" lugs.

Re: I like a little wine, but not sure I like a little whine

Hi VB Just taking out the tubes is normally not that dangerous, even less if you use a glove. And just taking out the tubes from the sockets and put them in again will "rub off" any oxide in the contact points. If you use an good electrical contact cleaner, spray it on the tube pins before...

Hi As some of you might remember I have a Laney DB150 Bass Head since a year o two back. Hi Michael
I like it. Even if it´s not BB it has a bit of BB feeling in it.
The guitar sound is close to a BB guitar.

Re: simple question from a simple mind

Hi Matter of fact: In switch position 2 and 4 on stratocaster two single coil pickups connected in parallell, thats why the lower resistance. You might also find that the guitar will hum much less with the switch in these positions. Two single coil pickups in parallell will act as an humbucker, but ...
