Re: Wow Windows 10

I should not have said anything about using Vista... It chrashed for me(did not start up) and I did not had Vista on a CD. Only a total reset CD.. I did a backup( with a HP tool in the PC) of everything and then reset the PC to original start (from 2006).. But I then decided to install Win10 also on...

Re: Playing guitar together with a choir

Hi everybody No, we did not record this session. But I have some recordings of the choir from last year and some recordings of me singing the "bass" part of some songs. To simplify the playing I used a Capo in the two song that was performed in Bb ( Fix You and "Jul , Jul"). But ...

Re: Egnater Tweaker and Cabinet

Hi HBL
May I ask which settings you on the Tweaker ?
Vintage ? USA ? Clean (of course) Normal ? Deep ?
and Bass @ 15 O´clock ?
The stereo sound of the recording is nice, through my nearfield monitors it is as sitting in your room.
And as usual , your playing is superb.

Playing guitar together with a choir

Hi Today I accompanied a choir singing christmas carols on acoustic guitar. You might remember that I am singing in a "everybody can sing" choir at work. During the autum we have rehersed some songs for a christmas performance. Then we where invited to perform on a department event today w...

Re: Wow Windows 10

Hi
I have installed Win10 on a Laptop I have and everything seems to work.
All recording SW I have on that machine still works fine together with the external USB sound card..
On my "main" Desktop I am still using using Vista and will continue to do so until Vista ends out..

Re: Egnater Tweaker and Cabinet

Hi The Egnater brand is not so common in Europe, sold only by a few shops/importers. The Amps are designed by Bruce Egnater (renowned tube amp designer/guru) and manufactured in China. The main feature with Tweaker is that you can "tweak" the sound (with different switches) from a clean Fe...

Re: Egnater Tweaker and Cabinet

Hi HB You know that I have an Egnater Tweaker 15 Head, that I like a lot.. But I have another speaker cabinet, an open back Crate 1x12" with Celestion G12-K100. /Kalle NB: There are two generations of the Tweaker 15, the first generation has a higher bias current/power dissipation on the power ...

Re: New recording from Kalle

Yet another recording on the same BT. A bit different tone of the gitarr/amp (more clear) and another selection of notes.
I found out that some of the eolic mode notes sounds best when they come in specific order.

Kalle Jamming

Hi Guys
Its a long time since I uploaded something, but here is an improvisation in Cminor with some eolic scale parts

C minor jam.mp3 - (2.03 MiB)

Many mistakes , but anyhow..
I need to play much more guitar than I do , playing bass in the "band"..

The no 4 Cm 100 Bpm can be played with an even slower solo and might fit your playing style.

Re: Free BT´s with leadexamples, chords and Tabs

Hi Michael
Yes, Jonas Hörnquist is guitarslinger.
But try the "laid back rock" BT no 2 in Am that goes in 75 Bpm.
Its a bit of a bluesy song, even if the chord structure is not standard 12 bar 3 chord.
The lead example is not that fast, some short 8:th note runs.

Re: My Music room

Hi
My house is a 140 square meter two level row house.
And the house is at end of the row and the room is downstairs at the end of the house, not at a wall to a neighboor.
So its possible to play loud. Sometimes the band use it as rehersal studio when we don´t have a drummer..

Re: Beginner

Hej Michael
This is a really really good improvisation over this BT, far from a newbie blues..
And the slightly overdriven "woodoo sound" suits the BT very much.

Re: Kitty has a new partner

Hi HBL I have G12K-100 in a open back signle speaker cabinet and like it a lot ( good bottom and rather straight frequency response, no peaks.) And I found this comment on the net: "Tech contact from Celestion answer this to me: The G12K-100 is virtually identical to the G12H-100 but has slight...

Hi Michael
I really like this recording, your style of playing fits this type of music.
The massive use of effects on the guitar is also doing lots of the feeling.

Re: Good howto om miking an amp

Hi VB As long as as the stereomics are positioned fairly close to each other (typical in a XY position) there will be no out phase problem. I guess that a typical out phase problem will just cancel out/reduce certain frequencies and not everything.. And as you say , it can be beneficial in some case...
