Re: Update on the new Sheraton.

Great news that your health has improved Blindboy! Also great news that your band is still on the go, doing well, and is in demand. Plus great news that the new Sheraton has ticked so many boxes for you. It sounds very versatile and that will be a big help because as we know from v...

Re: pxm - My Minor Blues

Ahh ... the attachment version works! Now - there's some different sounding chordy / harmony things going on there pxm. Stop me if I'm getting too technical! :shy: Makes a good result & it's fun to have the ear hearing unexpected notes some of the time - good one, and very strong on the r...

Re: Happy New Year 12Bar Forum

Tasty (not to say tricky sounding) chords Fenson - very jazz!

Interesting effect from the improvisational delay - gives it a different feel.

Re: Shuffling the New Year in E

What an excellent and energetic blues workout there!!!!  I feel exhausted after that and I was just listening! A good way to start the blues listening of a new year. Yes, 4 days in, and that's the first blues music I've managed to listen to. Oh dear - I must try to find some...

Re: ES means Electric-Spanish...

We do have two 3/4 size nylon strings in our home, for the kids. But they are cheap ones, playable only on the first 5 frets. Yours sounds much better. Thanks! :D My old Suzuki Classical was a bit lacking in quality. Not bad, wormanlike, but not much pleasure to be had from playing it. L...

Re: Jamming to play some Blues away

It just shows how much of the feel, skill at note choices, and general playing skills can survive intact for 14 months. It's good to hear those HBL sounds again and it's good to hear that things are working out better. Ah - those sweet sounds and definite strong hints of the great Peter Green...

Re: ES means Electric-Spanish...

I don't know enough about the style. So not improvised, it's a piece out of an "Introduction to Flamenco Guitar" book. The La Mancha Rubi I have is just 530mm scale length - called "Half Size" - nearly 20% shorter than the standard. The fretboard / nut is slightly narrow than standard at 48mm. With ...

Re: ES means Electric-Spanish...

So as to keep Spanish all in one thread, I did have a go earlier this year at trying to get back into flamenco / Spanish guitar. I have a small size La Mancha Rubi classical guitar (cedar top), with a short scale that is kinder to my finger joints. I quite liked the way this one ended up, but I'm af...

Re: ES means Electric-Spanish...

You managed some rather nylon classical sounds with some of those notes!

Nicely played anyway and I enjoyed the listen.

Reference Private Messages.

Go into User Control Panel from the list on the drop down arrow at the top right where your user name appears.
Go to Board Preferences.
Should be set to yes where there is "Allow Users to Send you Private Messages".

Hey VB.....are you trying to send me your part? I don’t think I have my messages disabled.....not sure where to look, or fix it?
I just get this message when I select your username to send a PM to.

Or possibly on my little segment, a little bit more grit and the guitar part mixed to a slightly higher level? :icon_whoknows: Yes. Then my bits of playing sound more of a contrast than just dull! First t...

Re: Collab Anybody?

Nice Gerd! On the subject of "That's where my fingers go", not to mention "that's what my tone and gentle style are", here's a short bit of playing from me too after Tytls 2nd solo at 2:29. Maybe not fully thought out or properly performed, but the sort of thing that fits when I play. Min...

Re: Collab Anybody?

I'm going to jump in too - especially as it's minor! IF I can remember where I've put my electric guitars - and if the puppy gives me enough time to play! I'll go for the second free space. Thanks for the collab invite Tom. It may be a few days - I might need to practice a bit to get back...

Intense and fiery, especially with the slower notes - your instincts on note choice are of such a high standard.

Great to listen to and a good start to the day.
