The chord sequence seems to take the melodic line strongly in particular directions, so I think it makes sense that there will be similarities between our two versions.
Indeed, it leads to certain notes that fit perfect into the chord sequence. Maybe BB can add another flavor...?

He now studies music (lectureship/teacher) and plays guitar, piano and drums as well. Two of my daughters also started with flute and piano so there's always music in our house. :music2:

Towards the end the organist reaches over with his left hand to pull a knob. What's that do?
Kind of a pickup switch for organs
I controls which organ pipes are used in a pipe organ. We have many old organs (several hundred years old) in our churches here.

Re: Update - offline - online

This time a big update - more a re-install since the new version is not compatible. All posts and uploads should be there, but I need to hack several pages in order to get the old layout back. So maybe it's offline for a minute from time to time.

Maybe - what if you do the last step and record "live" (phone, camera etc.)?
If VB still has the separate tracks - why not?

Re: More Gills in a Pink Fish

I did listen to all of them, and I hope you don't give up. Your voice fits exactly to those very melancholic songs, fragile and desperate. They also fit perfectly to my current mood fighting a still unknown disease/infection (MRT gave no results). Of cause I like the bluesy first one in E best... :c...

Re: Tuning for 8-String Lap Steel Blues

Like BB, I'm no help, 6 strings are more than enough to me.
But the scale generator http://12bar.de/php/scale_generator.php can handle up to 8 strings so you can print scale/chord sheets if you need.

Re: Who's there?

Getting older ain't so much fun. As we say over here, getting old is great, but being old not... I consider myself not as really old  :oldie: , but I'm used to do sports 2-3 days a week and it's hard to stop it completely for still unknown reasons.
