:whistle: Ok, I know on a standard guitar like playing country music one makes chords on the neck in different places according to the melody, and strums with the right..... now on the neck of a slide guitar where do you find chords with the slide, and does the position of the chord change depending...

I would like to know, if one plays guitar with a slide does he or she place the slide a certain place on the neck to make different chords. So, if I want to sing in the key of A do I find the A, E, and D somewhere on the neck ? What open tuning would I need to play in key of A? Never played a slide ...
